Every one see the new xp athlons, goes up to 1800 mhz. I wonder what the heat dissipation is on them, i look all over there site but could not find what i was looking for.I wonder if its like the palominos. They had to have decrease it over the older athlons, cause those suckers get hot quick.

Editor's note: CNET recently upgraded its system benchmarks to BAPCo's SysMark 2001. All the systems mentioned in this review were tested using the new benchmark and cannot be compared to systems tested using previous benchmarks.

ABS Performance XP
Windows XP Home Edition 5.1.2600; AMD Athlon XP 1800+ 1.533GHz; 256MB DDR SDRAM 266MHz; Nvidia GeForce3 64MB; IBM 60GB 7,200rpm
Dell Dimension 8100
Windows XP Professional 5.1.2600; Intel Pentium 4-1.7GHz; 256MB RDRAM 400MHz; Nvidia GeForce2 Ultra 64MB; Maxtor 60GB 7,200rpm

Polywell Poly 880XP-1800
Windows XP Home Edition 5.1.2600; AMD Athlon XP 1800+ 1.533GHz; 256MB DDR SDRAM 266MHz; Nvidia GeForce3 64MB; dual Maxtor 40GB 7,200rpm

Equipped with AMD's new Athlon XP 1.533GHz processor and slightly faster graphics systems, the ABS and Polywell desktops sped by a similarly configured Dell Dimension 8100 system in nearly every test--and left it in the dust during Quake III trials. They faltered only on Internet content creation; AMD attributes this shortfall to Windows Media Encoder, which needs a patch to recognize that the Athlon XP chips now support Intel's SSE instruction set.

This is about all I can find on it only been home an hour from the Beach but I'll try to find some Heat specs I can't believe they don't have it on there site. some body has to have it though.
