Back to ME From XP

What is the best way to go back to Windows ME From XP. I have an E-Machine with 128 MB RDram & 40 GB Hard drive. I have to many conflicts with software and cannot afford to update it all right now. It said you could go back but forgot how they said to do it. Thanks

The best way is probably to wipe the hard drive and reinstall WinME. Going back from any Windoze (or updating over a previous install) tends to lead to problems as you go along. It would probably take less time and be less hassle to go ahead and do the updates and keep WinXP....

Also, if you've data that you need to keep it might be best to use a CD burner to transfer to disk until you're reinstall is complete...

If you don't have a burner they are extremely inexpensive now-a-days...I've seem them as low as $20.00...

If you want to try without the re-install look in ADD/REMOVE programs there should be a choice to un-install XP from there and restore your original OS and settings.
