My computer isn't working at all.

Hi,

I have recently purchased the following items to update my exisitng system:

Chaintech 7JVD Mobo
1.33GHz Athlon
20GB HD
256MB RAM
Midi ATX Case
HeatSink For CPU
Extra fan
Graphics card - Elsa GeForce2 MX

After assembling a system with my old HD, using the GFX card and memory and CPU in my new motherboard, I found that it emitted a beep, which actually isn't in that particualr BIOS? I have a Phoenix BIOS and the sequence was 1-1-1 continueusly. I took the system apart and complained to my supplier company. Now after testing it again I found that no beeps are emitted at all??

Please help. Upon inspection I noticed at a large unit which apparently is my HDD Controller has a popper missing out of one side which means that it sticks up. It is similar to the Heatsink of the CPU but black and no fan (and no way near as heavy!)

Any suggestions?

Are you saying a pin is bent if so get a mechanical pencil and take the lead out and use it to bend the pin back to where it was. As for the beeps the first time , usually is the video card when this is happening, can you use a different viedeo card? Try a diffent video card. If you are missing a pin then i would send the motherboard back to the manufacturer, but i think the is one pin missing on the hard drive controller, but if you see a pin , and its like broken off then i would definately send it back.
