Been experimenting a little lately.

Tried out 98Lite for a new install of WinME, (er WinME Lite now, I guess). NO Internet Explorer at all, NO OE, NO Windows Media Player. Using better alternatives (Mozilla, Firebird, Winamp,etc.). I have combined this with AstonShell, completely replacing the Windows shell and I have to say right now I'm liking it more than my XP Pro machine!! (new and different)

This machine really flies now, looks fantastic and is extremely stable. Like experiencing a whole new OS.

WinME is now a great OS, sleek, fast, stable and nice to look at.;)

Any lost functionality? I remember trying 98 lite and had problems with context menus in Windows Explorer.

Haven't experienced any problems there at all. Mind you, I have replaced the Explorer shell with Aston shell. Very customizable and some interesting plug-ins too.

Couldn't be happier.
