Recently, one fine day, My PC wont boot. I tried booting through a clean BOOT floopy, my hard disk was detected but the partition was gone and so were the data in it.
I tried to make a fresh partion using FDISK, i made two partion of 4 GB each and restarted (as required by FDISK). When i restarted, the partion was again gone and this continued. Still i could not rectify the problem.

A hint i got was that all my floppy disk which i had been using were affected by EEK-B virus since i was using a wrong antivirus defention.
Kindly help me. Once i can create a partion i can get this virus removed using ANTI VIRUS REscue Disk, but he partion goes after each restart.

The first thing I would do is go out and get some new floppies...then create a new bootdisk on a known clean computer (or download one from here (http://www.bootdisk.com)) IMPORTANT:!! Write-protect that disk by makng sure the little tab is slid into the locked position (if you look closely by the tab it will show a little lock). Make sure that fdisk is on the boot disk, then boot your computer with it and type fdisk_/mbr at the propmt (use a space instead of the under score). Then try to make a new partition and then run the clean up tool...if that doesn't do it then go to the drive manufacturer's web site and download their "low-level" or zero fill format utility...most will do do the entire drive including the mbr....

You should also note that you must also Format the disk/partitions after using fdisk.
Or your rescue disk won’t work.
