a new system using a "slot A" Thunderbird on an FIC SD11
mobo and Windows 98se. So far its running better then my
other computer however I just have one little problem that I can't figure out. Sometimes when I turn on the machine using the power button on the case it turns on the cpu fan and obviously delivers power to the mobo, but the system doesn't initialize (whereas the monitor doesn't get a signal and also doesn't start-up) this same problem sometimes occurs when I try to restart. Any ideas on what it could be?? Thanks in advance for any suggestions

I get this same exact problem with my Classic Athlon 700mhz...i have an abit motherboard tho, but i do get those hangups you're describing when resetting or restarting the computer sometimes. Actually now my computer is stuck like that forever and does it everytime I turn it on! Only the fans run and the HDD and power leds remain constantly on.
