Hi Folks,

How do I go about checking my pc security log
to see if someone has hacked in?
I am running Windows 98se.

There is no security in win9x and Me. Hence, there are no security logs in them. If you mean 'event viewer', it's available in win2000 & XP, where you can view events related to applications, security and system.

If you are talking about online security, install a firewall and it will produce security logs. If you are talking about Windoze itself, you will need a third party program to monitor your system and create logs. I think there are several free ones available if you look in some of the download archives like at PCWorld... (http://www.pcworld.com/)
