Disk error but no disk in the drive!

My PC says that a non system disk is in the c drive, but there is no disk in the drive. It will not start my computer b/c of this. I have tried restarting and running a fix disk!

If that link doesn't do it, we will need some more info to help with this. Is this a new computer or a new problem on an older computer? Did you recently install any new hardware/software? Do you have security programs installed and updated? What are your system specs and what Windoze are you using? What troubleshooting have you already done?
