W95.Spaces.1445 virus

I was having troubles with Win98; for example,Running scan disk, defragmenter and Winzip etc.

I had no Antivirus installed as i never encountered any virus for a long long time.:cool:

Norton Antivirus 2003, when installed caught these viruses :

W95.Spaces.1445 virus
VBS.Haptime.A@mm virus

Does anybody have any idea about these viruses?

For that Haptime worm you need to download tool from Symantec site with a known clean machine, put it on a floppy and Write Protect it. Use the floppy in the infected machine to remove the problem.

You need to patch the machine too.

The spaces 95 would keep your machine from booting on June 1 so it is fortunate timing. You need to make rescue disks on floppies from known clean machine and run them to remove/inoculate it from your infected one.
