While reviewing for my A+ test, I came across conflicting sequences of the DOS boot order.

Acording to my A+ course, Upgrading and Repairing PC, and several other sources, the order is:

io.sys
msdos.sys
config.sys
command.com
autoexec.bat

While according to the reference info here and several more sources, the order is as follows:

io.sys
msdos.sys
command.com
config.sys
autoexec.bat

If anyone can provide the correct order, and provide accurate proof, please post ASAP as my A+ OS test is tomorrow.

Well, we don't usually help with homework, but if we use logic the correct answer becomes apparent.

There is no way to process MSDOS commands until the command processor is loaded. Therefore, your second alternative is correct..
