Hi guys......firstly thanks to anyone that has helped me in the past :) .question...... Is there any way to block/decrease/lower the interference between my handheld telephone and my wireless internet network....... I.E. When I grab my handheld phone anywhere near the vicinity of my wireless-accessed network, the phone crashes my system until I disengage the call and put back on the cradle........ I'm guessing the answer is no, same frequency, too bad......but then again that's why I'm asking you all :) Thanks, MG :)

The only thing I can think of would be if you can change which channel either the phone or your network runs on. If its possible and how to do it would depend on the manufacturer of equipment.
Phones sometimes simply have a button to press to switch channels specifically to adjust for interference, but your best bet might be to check you wireless manuals or the makers website and search for anything on interference particularly as it relates to cordless phones.

I guess it would be cheaper to go 5.4 GHz for the phone.

Thanks for replies. Looks like Pana KX-TG5100M looks like the handset for me.

Thanks again, M

I am a little late here but have had the same problems with the 2.4 GHz phone and going to the 5 GHz range fixed it. It would never fail though...as soon as the phone was in use....connections would go from 100% down to 5 or 6 %. If you stayed about 3 or 4 Feet away from the antenna or the router...the problem would go away......
