About 5 months ago I downloaded Aol Instant Messenger. There hadnt
been any problems with it until i downloaded a program from a buddy icon site. The program is called IconForge. It enables you to edit buddy icons. I immediately deleted the program cause it was pretty boring and slow. after i deleted it,the problems began occuring. Every
time i try to access a file(i.e. a wordpad document)
AOL Instant Messenger is opened. I dont know how to fix this or why
it is happening but it is really aggravating and i need to figure
out how to fix these problems. so if you can provide assistance i would appreciate it. P.S. sorry about the errors in my previous topic.

How did you go about deleting the IconForge program? Did the program come with an uninstall, or did you do it through add/remove programs?

If you deleted a folder rather than using one of the forementioned, this might explain the residual problems. One solution might be to reinstall the program and then use the uninstall if furnished, or remove through the add/remove programs.
