k so my isp has a home adsl n office adsl the dif. is that office can be shared thru a router but home cant . i have the home adsl and a router n my friend said that i could put 2 network cards into 1 of my 2 pcs in 1 i would put the adsl cable in the other i would put a cable from the pc 2 the router. then a cable goin from my 2nd pc 2 the router n then i could share adsl. i was wonderin if he left sometin out n wat settings i need. p.s if u need more info just ask;)
I don't know what hardware you have but the correct way to hook it all up is
modem to router and then Both systems to router

ya i know thats the correct way but as i said it wont worked cause i have the "home" adsl n the isp "sees" that im sharin it n it wont work ... i tried it. my router is a d-link di-704p revision A.

There is static ADSL which is what you called "office DSL', there is Dynamic addressed ADSL which is what you called "home DSL". You can share both of them differently...
Static ADSL usually includes a Router which lets the PCs connect to the internet on the Local (LAN) network. It usually includes a hardware firewall and several static IP addresses and can use DHCP to assign those addresses to PCs connected to it, making available the service easier. All the PCs connect directly (more or less) to the Router.
Dynamic ADSL usually includes a DSL Modem which connects to one PC. You can do Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) on that PC and by so doing share the service to another PC or to a Switch/Hub to more than one. It works but involves burdening the ICS computer with more than its share of the load so it runs much slower than it does on static setups. ICS is a service you have to install on that first PC.

ICS can be used in WIN98SE/ME and 2000, what OS are you using?
