This email claims to be from Microsoft. I thought that MS never sends emails with patches. So I have been deleting them as I receive them. It has been sent to my Yahoo email, not my primary. Am I right to think that something is not right here?

Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply- No I don't use that program. Just have Norton AV installed. But the messages are all deleted.

Delete, Delete, Delete!!!!

A friend sent me a copy yesterday asking about this nasty. I told him I was removing any trace from my computer and advised him to do the same.

I suggest that you get MailWasher or a similar email/SPAM program and delete things like that before you even download off of the server. NAV will stop it if it tries to open (assuming your definitions are up to date), but it will not prevent it being downloaded in the first place....

I use OE for my primary MSN account, but does Mailwasher also work with a web based Yahoo account, for example?

You have to get the Pro version for Web based accounts and I believe it is something like $20 or $30...
