hi,
i have posted this problem before but now things are getting really frustrating. My PC reboots alone!!!

We are talking about a
FIC AZ11E mobo
Duron 700
30G WD ATA100
Acer CD_RW
Creative DVD-ROM

the reboots happens ONLY when I am installing a sofware from a CD or when I burn one. It happens with both drives (CD-RW or DVD-ROM) but never (so far) when i watch a movie. Never when i use the pc for all other things.
What i did is to change PS (it was a cheap one anyway) with an new Antec 400W.
Still the same problem!!!
recently i change the flat ribbon cable and bought a longer one to reach both drives, do you think this might be the problem? a bad cable connected to both drives on the secondary channel?
Any other advice?................... please!!!!!
thank you

Goooood Eeeeevening!

Watching too many Scary Movies lately! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/eek.gif

Noticed that you posted separately regarding your on going problem...might do well, since they are connected in some way, to keep them in the same thread. Folks like me won't get too confused then or forget...what was I saying? I no longer forget...I edit! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Wondering how much RAM you have happening these days?

I am assuming that it was a Fatal Exception 0E? Very often these are related to virual memory.
