View Full Version : my ip got banned from a site!
my ip was banned from a website i like to use i was just wondering if there are any tools to unban me? or can anyone recomend a good proxy tool and let me know were to get it? thanks in advance.
Your best bet would not be trying to circumvent the ban.....webmasters tend to get very nasty when they find out (do things like get your ISP to cancel your account), but rather find out why the ban was placed in the first place and then maybe find out what needs to be done to have it lifted.
no i already know why i got banned and its im not worried about my isp or anyhting like that! anyone else know of anything? or can you let me know were to get a good proxy?

What did you do that got you banned?
You don't really get it do you?
You are banned...that means you did something to anger the webmaster.
Circumventing that ban tends to make webmasters even angrier....so much so they tend to report people that do those things to their ISPs, then because for most ISPs it is a violation of the TOS to engage in such behavior your account gets canceled.
End of Story..........
There are legitemate means of dealing with a ban, and none of them include the use of a proxy.
Also, simple answer........NOBODY is going to help you circumvent that ban!!!
mjc did anyone ever tell u your a real *******?

Ste. If you behaved in that manner it follows suit that you did get banned and I think you owe MJC an apology to say the least. Most if not all of us have a regard for MJC who has helped a lot of people thro difficulties and problems with PC`s and I think you should heed his advice. And learn some manners. It costs nothing to be civil!

Amazing....Ditto on the above two posts.
mjc has helped thousands of people with Computer problems here and elsewhere.
Doesn't surprise me a bit you were banned....I don't even care to know why. (Pretty easy to guess though)

ste I have also had my dissagreements with mjc and IXL and a few others but the info mjc has given is correct. And your remarks were definatly uncalled for.. I find it easyer to just take a break from the pc when getting angry I would suggest you do the same.Or find a site that is more suited for noobs like yahoo :p

I have had disagreements with many people on this forum. This guy is a jerk. I may not agree with yawningdog on anything political, but this is America where you we agree to disagree, just with a certain amount of humanity.
There is a reason this guy got banned, insulting MJC is just a manifestation of what he was banned from the other site.......

BTW = By the way....
See this page (http://www.sharpened.net/glossary/acronyms.php) for an incredibly extensive list of such chatspeak.... Please don't use most of it though, it is quite irritating....

Some, such as AKA (also known as) and ASAP (as soon as possible) are classics though. Many years ago (many years before the advent of the Internet) ASAP was used extensively in telex messages.
