when i log of winxp and leave the computer on for a long period of time, i noticed that once and a while the screen goes completely blank and all i can do is see and move the cursor. i can't do anything else to bring the log on screen back on. all i can do is press the restart button on my computer case. is anything wrong or is this another bug that winxp has?

Check your power settings, particularly settings for hibernating and standby functions.... You probably need to check in Control Panel and in BIOS if the problem persists....

Make sure your BIOS is up to date and try turning off/changing the power saving options (if there are any). You can also try turning off the power saving options in Windows.

What is the IPCA Funtion? Should this be disabled in the BIOS? In windows I have my system set up as "Always On"
