Welcome to http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif.
Never used it but it looks like it has in-built rules for handling file sharing programs. You might have to search around in the options to find how to allow/disallow such programs.
I will also briefly mention the widespread distaste many people here on the forum have for some file-sharing programs, KaZaa in particular

pave_spactre, possibly you are talking about those voicing their opinions.
Many do not, and among those, many may not feel the distaste those you are mention have.
There may be several different reasons for this distaste :
- they may feel that filesharing is "against the rules"/against the law/immoral/unfair towards the record companies
- they may think that filesharers are harming the artists
- or that distaste might also be caused by the many ways trojans, viruses etc. are distributed via filesharing.

Kazaa is a vermin farm. It installs with malware and it invites more malware in for the party. It does not want you using a firewall or any other protection because then the malware could not freely take over your system. On the other hand, if you use Kazaa and don't use security, be prepared for periodic episodes of trying to clean up the mess. There are other file sharing programs that are less likely to traumatize your system... WinMX is one that people here have suggested....
