I apologize if this isn't the right forum for the problem I have but none of the forums really sounded like the right one for me. Anyway, the problem I'm having is when I'm on the internet and I try to navigate using a link nothing happens except the screen flashes as if it is sending me to the link but I just end up on the same page. This is happening on about 80% of the links I click on. The only way to get to the link I click on is to actually drag the link into the address bar and then I'm sent to the proper link. I have racked my brain trying to figure what has happened but no luck. So I'm turning to the experts out there to see if someone can help. Thank you in advance for any help you might have. Also if this is the wrong forum please let me know which one I should be using. Thanks
What browser? version? OS? version?
How do you connect to the internet? Any firewalls? proxies?

I have Internet Explorer version 5.50.4807.2300IS I also have Windows 98 version 4.10. I have recently (about 2 months ago) changed from a 56k dial-up internet connection with AOL to a DSL connection with mindspring.com and now that you are bringing it up it is possible thet the problem I have might have begun shortly after making the switch. I'm pleading ignorant as to firewalls and proxies. I'm not too sure what they mean. Is there somewhere to look on my computer that will give me that info so I can provide it to you. Thanks

Is there anyone else who might be able to help me with this annoying problem. It is driving me nuts to have to drag a link to the address bar almost every time I want to see a link. Thanks
