Lately when I shutdown my PC for the day iexplore.exe will hang the machine (running XP Home) and when I look at what applications are running there are 2 instances of iexpore.exe. If I end one, the PC will shutdown fine. If they both are in there, it will hang the PC until I end the pgm.

I always close all applications (IE is never up at these times) and my dialup session if it's running before I shutdown. I've scoured these forums and searched online for similar symptoms but can't seem to nail this one down.

Any advice out there? Thanks! :)

The only reason you should have two or more is if you have multiple windows open... You should run spyBot S&D and see what it brings up

Alexa Related - related.htm exploit was the culprit Spybot found. I've seen that piece of garbage on 1 or 2 other systems that caused different kinds of problems. Everything seems to be in order again - thanks Yoda!
