My money is on the cat. When I first got married my wife owned 2 cats & a dog. I owned a huge 90 lb german sheppard mix. The one cat was all of 6 lbs. When my dog came over to meet his new mates, the cat went right up to her face put out her nails and spit in the dog's face and the dog understood the cat was king....

I don't know. These are not really royal manners... the dog must have felt that that cat was rather low-life...

The dog understood that cat was king. And they got on well for about ten years until the cat died of natural causes........

The dog "understood" the cat was king.
It must not have been a very clever dog then.

A sad day for dogs. Neither of my dogs has ever backed down from a cat.

maybe the cat had superpowers, like in the movies...

My dog never backed from anything before that or since. She scared the crap out out of everyone else, except children. My oldest learned to walk by pulling herself up by the dogs ears. Like I said it worked out well with 2 dogs and 2 cats we all got along ok.

It did? Methinks you must have been somewhat falling short in your parental duties then, if the dogs had to do your job... :p

The cat's a Tom, and he's not thinking about fighting that little moose :D

First of all, my oldest is now 17 and by the looks of things she turned out ok. As for shirking my parental duties, I don't know how many children you have, byt when they learn how to walk, they pull themselves up on whatever is available, low tables, couches, chairs, and in my daughters case a very lovable dog.

Classics,
Those pictures could speak a thousand words...
What has my 'hair raised' is if it's the moose or the cat that's gonna win tonite's bout.
And one antler? One ear too...
Glad there's antifouling paint on the hull though...
