ePolicy Orchestrator Agent

When I ran updates for McAfee Virus software that's used by our local hospital network, and update agent called "ePolicy Orchestrator Agent" loaded. This runs constantly, and I believe it's interfering with all of computers' running of scandisk and defrag. I have searched for a way to remove this from the computers because of the apparent interference, but I can't find a way to do this except by possibly removing McAfee. And, since we're networked, we would have to buy our own virus software (which the office is not going to do) or reload the McAfee through the network which would put back the agent. How can I get rid of this agent?

hmmmm....Well first the agent is needed in order for your computers to be managed by the epo server. Removing it may conflict with your hospital's HIPPA policies and procedures in regrads to anti-virus measures.


I would recommend simply disabling it during maintance task. See here for more details:

Is it reasonable to think that it may be hanging up the scan disk and defrag applications?
