Hey Guys and Gals,

Can you help with this one?

I've recently built my PC around a Chaintech CT7 KJD mobo, a 1.4 gb Athlon with gf3 and 256Mb DDR Ram, however now I'm trying to add more memory, the system reports the memory as faulty. When each stick is put in separately they're fine, but when put in together the system crashes and I get Fatal Exceptions all over the place, not just at any particular place. Norton utilities tells me there's an error at a particular memory address......

Any Suggestions? http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif thanks........

Both sticks are pc2100 DDR, the motherboard is a Chaintech ct7 kjd with 2 dimm slots......

I've tried to amend the system.ini file with:

MinFileCache=131072
MaxFileCache=524288

but it doesn't seem to have helped as the system reports not enough memory to run certain programs and Norton Utilities, insists the memory is failing at a particular address......

Thanks,
