102 system board error?

Hi
I recently gave my old compaq presario to my father.
I actually hauled the thing all the way to the uk.
When i booted it up over there everything seemed to run just great.
Well after a few days my dad informs me that it sometimes just will not start.This happened a few times and now he is getting an error message saying 102 system board error!
Is this very serious? Can i help him with this over the phone?As i am back in California now.
I have made some breif inquires over the net and i'm finding that it may have something to do with the cmos.I'm not sure though, i thought i would try these forums as i have had sucess in the past with other issues.
The system has xp installed and the model number is 5bw 284 compaq presario.It also has a g force graphics card that i added i'm not sure that has anything to do with it.
I would really appreciate any help.

Did you set the power supply to the European setting? I believe it is 220 or 230....

I was worried that might be the problem.
How and were can i get a replacment board for that system?
Compaq presario 5bw284.
Also, yes i did switch the power supply over to 220/230.
Is it possible that it could be the cmos battery?

The battery would be a long shot due to the actual error code it generated stating that the board needs to be replaced...

I'm not sure where to steer you to find a replacement...

Thanks i was afraid of that.Do you think it's worth replacing, on a computer three years old?
Dealing with this from so far away is a real pain, and im concerned that this could be an on going thing.
