Recently, a message box saying "Memory full" has been displayed on my monitor in sevveral cases:
- while trying to istall new software such as Adobe Photoshop
- while using and entering into the mail program Outlook Express
- while using Internet Explorer at times the menu Bookmarks won't be displayed
- while working Norton antivirus displays such messages.
Could it be caused by a virus and how can I repair such inconvenience?
Thanks. Lucca.

How much memory do you have installed and how many programs are running at boot?
Some other things (other than viruses0 that can cause this are excessively full caches, Temp folders loaded with everything, excessive restore folders.....
What version of Windows/IE are you running.

It also happens that while using Adobe Photoshop I cannot perform commands and operations because message boxes appear saying Lack of memory.
I have Windows 98 4.10.2222A; 32 MBytes RAM;system resources 71% available according to the System card in MyComputer.
How can I :
- empty caches
- empty Temp folders
- what are restore folders and how can I empty them?
- know how much space I have on the hard disk?
I am running Internet Explorer 5.00.
Thanks. Lucca.

On the hard disk (local) the used space is 3.15 GBytes and the available space is 3.57 MBytes. Capacity of the hard disk is 3.15 GBytes according to: C: and then I clicked on Properties.
That I think means that the hard disk is full. But I cannot understand how this can have happened.
Thanks. Lucca.
Graphic intensive programs require lots of memory so you really need to upgrade.
Adobe Photoshop suggests a minimum of '192MB of RAM (256MB recommended)'
