Hey Guys

Hopefully someone can advise me.

I have a PC that gives the following error message

__________________________________________________ _____________

Invalid configuration information - please run SETUP program

Performing automatic IDE configuration... (there is a time delay of ca. 3-5 minutes before the next bit)

Primary master: IDE disk drive
Secondary master: CD-ROM reader
Time-of-day not set - please run SETUP program
Alert! System battery voltage is low
Strike F1 to continue, strike F2 to run SETUP program

__________________________________________________ _______________

Does this mean the battery on the MBoard is running low and should be replaced??

Any advice welcome

Cheers

G

Sorry

What I forgot to say was that what ever this user does to the time/date setting, it always seems to loose the time.

Sounds like classic symptoms of a failing battery. Means that the BIOS will lose all its settings.
Should be cheap and fairly easy to replace.

Invalid configuration information - please run SETUP
The display adapter, memory size, disk drive, or other SETUP options are incorrectly configured.

Run the SETUP utility and adjust any erroneous SETUP entries. If all entries appear to be correct, click here for additional suggestions.
