hello, i have been having at post a very funny sequence of 4 beeps, each one is different like 4 different notes, coming out of my speakers. This happends not immediately but while my OS is loading (WinXP). It doesn`t seem to be part of the mobo beep warning signals and moreover I have a PCI device with light leds which says that is all ok! and the PC indeed has no problem at all but i`m wondering why I am getting this 4 new beeps!!!! I have an MSI KT6 Delta mobo. Any idea? I`d love to attach them here as a sound fiule but how do attach a file to this forum?

What type of notes?
There was a post a while back where classical notes are indicator of CPU fan failing (I think it was "its a small world)

I can`t tell which ones nor anything similar. But i can record them, is there a way to attach a wav file here?

I am guessing you could add the notes by a link to a website where you have the recording or maybe as an attachment here.

However, have you checked in you sound schemes??? I wonder if you Open Windoze theme has been changed to these notes??

Do you still hear the normal Windows Startup wave file. Maybe the normal wave file has been replaced.

In WinXP go to the Control Panel/ Sounds and Audio Devices. Click on the Sounds tab. Under program events, scroll down to Start Windows and highlight it. Click the little right hand arrow at the bottom to hear the associated sound.
