I'm running my fsb at 154 instead of 133. Would my memory be better running at this higher fsb? Or should I just keep the fsb at 133? I'm using 256MB PC2700.
MSI KM2M Combo-L
AMD XP 1800+
256 PC2700 DDR RAM

PC2700 is DDR333, which means to run it at its full rated speed, the fsb could be set to 166. 166 FSB = 333DDR.
Its fine to run it below this speed. Right now you have the ram running at 154x2 which equals DDR308. You will get higher bandwidth running at 154 as opposed to 133.
So, if you processor is fine at 154, your ram will run better at this setting than at 133.
I think I confused myself.:p

LOL Malcore:D As for Funkvibe, what you're doing is overclocking which is fine if your system can handle it.

That's funny, I read it as slightly underclocked. ;)

The XP1800(133/266 default) is overclocked if running 154/308 FSB. The PC2700(166/333) is underclocked at 154/308 FSB.
Nothing wrong with that if all is stable. I'm doing the same with my Athlon machine. Barton (166/333) overclocked to 185/370 and PC3200 (200/400) underclocked at 185/370.:p
I'm feeling confused again.;)
It's all good.

Yep, I'm doing the same with my P4 system. My P4B 2.26 has a normal FSB of 533 (133 x 4). But I also have DDR333 (166 x 2). So I set my FSB and RAM to about 580 (145 x 4). That overclocks my CPU, but underclocks my RAM. Depending on how hot it is :p I adjust my FSB (I usually keep it between 400 & 620, so it gets quite a range).
