Hi All,

Hope I have the right forum for this question.
I have currently 3 Quicktime Icons, (including one Quicktime32), in my Control Panel. Anytime I try to download something the Quicktime logo appears in the middle of my screen and download usually fails. This is very troublesome esp when trying to download NAV updates.
So my question....
How can I make Quicktime behave and do I need QT at all. I really need some education on this program and it's function and it's necessity.
Much Thanks!

This appears to be the same issue you were talking about in this thread: http://www.pcguide.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27218

Did you run the fixes we suggested?? It is best to continue the same problem in the same thread so that people can follow all that has already been tried.... Please post back in the original thread what you have done....

Budfred,

Yes, this is related to the problem you (and others) addressed in the referenced thread. I have seen so many admonishments for run-on, rambling threads that I figured it best to begin a new thread for this issue.
I did run Hijackthis and I was able to download and execute SpyBot. I have not had a chance to evaluate their effects as of today. Work gets in the way of my fun!
NOTICE:
I will return to the original thread in which Budfred and Whyzman have been giving me super excellent advice and assistance. Should you have suggestions, questions or comments, please find us there.
