possessed computer

I think my computer is possessed. It turns on by itself, often right after turning it off, sometimes minutes or hours later. Any thoughts on what may be causing this. Thanks.

hardware - the power switch

software - a program that is scheduled to run

If you have an always connected internet connection and your bios has wake on lan turned to on this can happen.
