This fellow here seems to be on a crusade against television overconsumption. Not only that, he thinks there are actually quite some bad influences on television affecting behavior and mental abilities of not-yet-grown-up people, and a lot of undefendable motives behind the industry. All of which I tend to agree with.

Anti-television activism has many degrees - some people say all TV, videos and video games are bad, some people just advise cutting down the number of hours your family watches. Personally, I think a National Geographic video once a week for young children and a quality movie once a week for the older members of the family is plenty.
Does this sound too extreme to you ?
I actually believe this is the voice of reason.
We don't realise exactly how much television has a grip on our everyday lives, even how much it may cut us off from what we really want and feel.
