Hi Pal,
This could be any number of things. One short beep indicates a successful POST.
How many beeps at start up, and are they long or short..how many long and how many short beeps. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Hey,
Chances are good that the system is either complaining about the memory or the video card.
Try different SDRAM modules first. If the beeping still continues, try a different video card.
If that doesn't work, then it could be the motherboard.
There are some very good articles about beep codes and what they mean right here on the Guide, written by Charles himself. Check them out.
Good luck.
