Wnen trying to boot from a windows 98 boot up disk I do not get the A:\ prompt and receive the the following message INVALID COMMAND .COM enter correct name of command interprator. I type all drive letters and the same error message is received can any one help

I think you got a bad bootup disk try to secure another one and see if it helps.

I have made a number of disks all are good but no a: prompt at all

RAMSGATEOZ stupid question why do you have this posted twice bassman and ranchdogg already were on the problem, posting twice just confuses things and usually irritates people when there trying to figure out what is already been suggested. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif
