$1000 for anyone who can find a link to where I can DL the old x-box ad from about 2 years ago. The one with the fat feral kid jumping up and down on the kitchen table... it had the Run DMC song: "It's Tricky"

Funny, I just stumbled across this site (http://www.majkel.mds.pl/html/reklama/indexENG.html) a few days ago. Don't know if the commercial you're looking for is there, but it's a collection of over 900 game commercials for download/viewing.
Happy viewing/searching.:)
Edit-actually, you can see the exact ad you want by going to this part (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/xboxtv/default.htm?t=&v=<n=&bw=hi) of the xbox site and viewing the SSX Tricky videos there.
You must use Internet Explorer, as ActiveX and Windows Media Player are required for viewing.

By the way, I was going to start anbother thread on this but...
How do you do that, paste a link but instead of something like:
http://www.whatever.samplelink.ignorethis.htpl
you shorten it to something catchy like:
"you can view it here" and insert the link into the word "here". Seems pretty clever to me. How do you do that?

The easiest way is to click on the http: button just above the text box when you are composing a reply. Type in the word(s) you would like to be displayed in the small box that opens, click OK and then in the next empty box paste the url and click ok.

When posting, hit the button above the text entry box that says "http://"
A javascript dialog box should open asking what text you want to appear (that's where you would type "here" or whatever) followed by a dialog box asking for the URL of the page you want to link to.

hey cool that was simple. But what about the @, IMG, #, PHP and List buttons?
And how/where do I use/find all the animated icons that the fancier people use in their posts???

Gotta be quick....
Thanks for the "start here" info however I was after the smilies and icons that are NOT listed on the posting page. People seem to find them elsewhere and often they are animated IE they move... any ideas?

You can upload images that are stored locally on your Computer via an attachment (bottom of reply box- 20kb or less)
Some of the "fancy" animated images (or any images for that matter) you see people use are actually images that are linked directly from another site.
(If you don't see "so and so has attached this image", it is a direct link to an image from another site).
Linking to Images from other sites is sometimes prohibited, so you should be careful before you decide to play around too much....Not to mention, it's fun once in a while, but too many green and Purple Monsters dancing around in the forums become a bit irritating after a while. ;)

For anyone who wonders what I was talking about you can find the feral video (http://217.153.29.18/%7Emichal/dziw/ssxtrickylutherage6.mov) here.

And if you happen to have java turned off???
The spiffy buttons don't work, so...
place [u_rl= in front of the actual URL, one ] behind it, the name you want, then [u_rl] without the underscores I just used to make sure it won't work.
Comes out with a nice neat link to Google (http://www.google.com)
Or the site of your choice...
I can't believe I'm actually replying to a technical (ok at least semi-technical) question in After Hours....what's this world coming to???

Pete, you forgot the /
Encase these in brackets [ and ] below instead of parenthesis.
(url=whatever)name you pick(/url) This will give you a link to wherever you choose with the words you choose also if JAVA is off Mine is off mostly except when dealing with online purchases, my bank and some forums too. Then I turn it off and reboot for security issues.

Well I couldn't think which other category to place it in and for you super-nerds out there, I figured you could sort this issue out with your hands tied and one eye closed and I was right! And hey I got some useful info out of it.
Thanks to those who replied

I'll take it! Better than New Taiwan Dollars.:p
I think they meant to say javascript, not java. Javascript is the scripting that produces those nice little popup boxes to enter your text and url in.
