Pic's not showing in IE 6

I have a new W2000 box. When I go to some sites, certain pictures do not show up. There is an "x" in the top of the window. What am I missing (Active X, Java?)

Hey,

Go to Tools/InternetOptions/Advanced. Scroll down the page until you find the Multimedia section. Make sure there is a checkmark in the box beside the line item that says, "Show Pictures". If it's already checked, then post back and we'll go from there. Could be an Active X thing, but not sure.

Also, you can always place the mouse arrow on the X in the corner of the box, right-click and choose Show Picture.

Check and see what ones aren't showing up...you do this by right clicking on a pic and selecting properties, also do this to some of the ones that do show up. That way if on one site you can viesw gifs and on another you can't then you know that it probably isn't your computer, but if it is all one type then check and see if that particular file type is associated with IE (not sure how to do this in 2K)
