Dell BIOS upgrade question

Hey everyone. I've got a question related to Dell BIOS upgrades.


If the BIOS is flashed on a Dell 2400 system using the recommended BIOS update available off the Dell webpage, will the computer serial number/asset tag stored in the original BIOS be overwritten or preserved?

Any help would be sincerely appreciated.
