Hi I have HP Computer and I am trying to restall win98 on it,But I keep getting an error it says, PCI Error If you don't use the HP Perload Software, the HP IDE drivers must be loaded, not excatly sure what this means. I also cannot format this drive because of what it says above, please help thanks.

You'll need to use the newer IDE drivers provided by HP on their web
site. Download the file and run the executable.

Thank you for your help but not sure what I need to download from HP web site please explain what EDI is so when I go there I can fine is a driver for the Hard drive. Right noe there is no O/S on the computer is a blank screen so what should I do. thanks

IDE is the type of driver you need for the hard drive.
