Haven't dropped by here in awhile, but...
My parents have asked me to clean up their computer (this is going to take a long time) and then set up a restricted access account for my brother and sister so they can't visit certain sites, download items without the password, or install anything without the admin logged on. Well, I finished a virus scan and there was 8 viruses found and 2 or 3 worms. 611 new objects found by adaware, then another 238 found by SB S&D. Now I have to clean the rest up.
Well, could someone please look at this HTS log and tell me what needs to go and what to do to get rid of it.
Thanks

You'll need to reboot so that that line can do its job, then run HJT again and let us look at it from there. ;)

Hi killercow,
That computer must have been quite a mess if this is what is left after all the other things you have done. Before doing the fixes though, download and set up the latest version of HJT. You are using an old version and it may not be able to do all of the fixes....
Then close all open windows and the browser, open HJT and fix:
R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - _{5D60FF48-95BE-4956-B4C6-6BB168A70310} - (no file)
O1 - Hosts: 12.129.205.209 search.netscape.com12.129.205.209 sitefinder.verisign.com
O1 - Hosts: 12.129.205.209 search.netscape.com12.129.205.209 sitefinder.verisign.com
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SysUpd] C:\WINDOWS\SysUpd.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RunDLL] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\bridge.dll",Load
O16 - DPF: {1D4DB7D2-6EC9-47A3-BD87-1E41684E07BB} - http://ak.imgfarm.com/images/nocach...etup1.0.0.6.cab
O16 - DPF: {907CA0E5-CE84-11D6-9508-02608CDD2846} - http://update.searchsquire.com/SearchSquire33.CAB
Then I am not sure what these two are, but they look mighty suspicious. Check Properties and remove or rename them if they don't look familiar.
C:\WUTemp\com_microsoft.Q828026_MSRC3326_WMP_XP_W2 K_W2K3\WindowsMedia-Q828026-x86-ENU.exe
c:\12320798a3f54c297fe50f\update\update.exe
And this one you definitely need to find and remove:
C:\WINDOWS\SysUpd.exe
Then reboot and run HJT, open your browser and post the new log so we can see if it is now clean.

that sysupd.exe is a very tricky .exe. I tried to delete it but it was running. I hit Ctrl+Alt+Del "end process" and try and dedlete it. Well it wanaged to start back up again. I am not able to delete it and HJT can't delete or fix. .

Try Safe Mode

If you can't kill it in Safe Mode, go here and follow the instructions (at the bottom of the page) to take it out... Let us know how it goes, we can try a couple of other options if necessary....
