Hello, I am unable to use anything in my control panel. When I click on any icon a dialog box appears and says the following. Rundll32 exe. path not found. I think I might have deleted the file when trying to clean up my computer. How can I correct this problem?

If your running xp then Go to command prompt,(start, run, cmd.) At command prompt ,scf/scannow. This is the system file checker. It will run through your files and replace any missing or corrupted ones. You will need your XP disk. I don't know if this will solve your problem.

Yes, extract the single file rundll32.exe from the windows cd to the windows folder. If that doesn't work, it could be a malware problem. scan your machine using a online scan from one or two of the following,
Record exactly the names of any malware it cleans up.
Download HijackThis (http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html) extract it to its own folder, Click "scan", when the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.Press that, save the log somewhere, and please post a copy here.
