NEED HELP WITH RAM UPGRADE? SYSTEM CURRENTLY RUNS ON 128MB RAM, TRIED TO INSTALLED ADDITIONAL 128 AND SYSTEM BIOS COUNTS THE RAM AND REBOOTS. RAM IS GOOD PULLED OLD OUT AND TRIED NEW INDIVIDUALLY, SO I KNOW THE NEW STICK IS WORKING. RAM IS SAME MANUF., CHIPSET ETC. I HAVE RAM PUT CANT USE IT.

Which BIOS version are you using with your 8KTA+.
Let's do this for starters and then work up from there. When you first boot up use the DEL key it will take you to CMOS(BIOS). Select Default settings, save and exit. Shut down PC and install additional RAM. Re-boot.
May have to clear CMOS. Look on your Mboard for the CMOS jumper and set it to clear for a few minutes. Should be pin 2-3. Replace. Then remove the CMOS battery for a few more minutes and replace.
As I recall your Mboard has three DIMM slots for RAM. Have you taken turns as to which slot you leave open, etc. ?
