OK, I guess the Windows installers got scoffed by the Linux guys.

I did have one issue, the download manager in 0.8 wants to kick in and download .swf files instead of opening Shockwave. Any help?

Shockwave Player doesn't support .swf files. You need to download the Macromedia Flash Player for Firefox.
