Internet (cable) connection problem.

A friend and I attended a LAN Party recently. After returning home and reconnecting our computers back to our own routers, my connection came right back up no problem. His is dead in the water. No config changes were made. DHCP should be assinging IP addresses to his computer.

He tried restarting both the modem and the router with no luck. Any ideas what his problem is?

open a command prompt and type "ipconfig /release" and then "ipconfig /renew".

Sorry, forgot to include that he did try that. No luck.

use the ipconfig /all command to check if any ip's are being assigned to him.
