I've always stayed away from Antec cases. They're expensive and I don't like that door covering the opticle drives. Or so I thought.

I have a new project requiring three new cases. Mid-level business machine, a server and a living room/family computer. I decided to give Antec a shot. Last night they were sitting on the porch when I got home.

These are the cases I bought:

Business machine (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-129-121&depa=0)
Server (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-129-119&depa=0)
Family (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-129-142&depa=0)

I'm impressed. The quality is excellent. And the price was fine. $50, $75, $100.

As a side note, I bought them from NewEgg. Ordered cases, HDDs, Motherboards, and CD-RW-DVD drives. Everything was in stock. And they got it to me one day quicker than they said they would.

I sometimes gripe loudly when I get bad service so I figured I should give credit when credit is due. It's been a good experience all around. :)

Is it just me or a lot of case makers are starting to copy Antec case design? (ie: front grills) Also, I've never see a server case before, at first I thought it was a toy... :D

What I like most about the antec cases is that you can get them with an antec psu at a nice price. That, combined with antec build quality realy make them my cases of choice...

I'm running a system in an Antec Sonata and another in an Antec P160, two of the best cases I've ever bought. Not only are they near silent, but they look so nice. As far as i'm concerned Antec is the best case manufacturer around.
