is there a way to see where a person is sending an email from (i.e. what state and/or country) if so PLEASE let me know I've been getting ahem weird emails from people and would like to see if its just a joke or what.

Well, the two most common causes of that kind of stuff...spam and viruses.

And depending on where the spammer sourced your email addy they could have picked up more personal info too.

We, the anti-spyware community, have suspected for a long time that some of the spyware being installed would end up being used by spammers. We also know that some of it can do a very good job of gettin personal info from a machine.

So, I would do a round of scans, starting with an updated AV scan, and follwed with an anti-spyware one..Spybot or AdAware (or both).

Personally, I feel that a very large majority of email attained is from email harvest bots.
You post your real email any where on the Internet, you are asking for spam.

Use a disposable email and only give your family and friends your real email address.
