I have a small animated logo in the top right of the internet explorer toolbar. It was placed there by my last ISP Freeserve UK when installing their software. How can I remove it?

I've already uninstalled their software system and installed my new providers'system.

Thanks all:)

What operating system are you using and which version of IE??

The logo altering is a part of IEAK (Internet Explorer Administration Kit) which allows customization of a browser.

To undo this requires a registry change. Although the link does not say so, you would want to save a copy of your current registry in the event there might be a problem...

Thanks Wyzman, I have not carried out the fix yet because I found the web pages you pasted in are very interesting.I would like to read and understand everything before commencing.

I'll get back when its done - and i'm sure it will be fine.

Thanks :)

OK Whyzman, just for feedback - I've managed to get rid of the branding from IE5. I did this by typing this into regedit "rundll32 iedkcs32.dll,Clear". without the quotes, and then pressing enter

This cleared the branding but returned the MS branding - which at the moment I don't mind.

Thanks:)

One of the links I provided I believe had directions to customize/personalize the logo if you're so inclined...

Thanks for replying that it worked for you... ;)
