How everyone

I need to install a IEEE 1394 firewire card for sounds and I'm not sure if theres one type of card for that considering I'm using an ATI ALL IN WONDER 128 capture card ?

What I'm trying to do is caputre video and audio from my camcorder(canon zr70) to my computer, When I do it now I only get video, but canon say I need a firewire card for the audio and ATI says they support firewire IEEEE 1394 cards but I'm notsure how to go but purchasing one.

Thank

IEEE 1394 firewire is a port like USB, it is used to transfer large amounts of data very quickly. Usually camcorders and other video equipment use this port to get data onto a computer. If your computer does not come with one you can purchase a PCI to firewire cards like these. (http://www.dealsonic.com/pcitoi13firc.html)
What is IEEE 1394? (http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/I/IEEE_1394.html)

All fire wire cards are intended to transfer both. ;)

Yes it's a means of transferring high-bandwidth multimedia digital traffic, it doesn't differentiate between audio and video. More detailed info http://www.computer.org/multimedia/articles/firewire.htm
