When I press the power button after the system has been off -- usually overnight -- it won't respond, beep, boot, reset...nothing. I have to unplug/plug-in the power cord at the wall, and then when I immediately go to turn it on it boots right up and runs very stable. It'll restart and even boot after being off for a few minutes with no problem.

It just started doing this right after I replaced only the case (but not the PS). I double checked to see that all the mobo's LED, power switch, stand-by, and reset lines are connected properly... they are.

System: ABIT BF-6, P3 700(o/c @ 840mhz), 128MB PC133 SDRAM, (1)16MB AGP, (1)HDD, (1)CDROM, (1)FDD, (1)sound card, (1)NIC, (3)80mm case fans, Win98SE, (new)Antec 600, (1yr. old)250W PS.

Any ideas...?

Ok, let me see if I have this right....first thing in the morning you go to turn on your machine and all you are rewarded with is absolutely nothing...it is dead. You unplug it from the outlet and the plug it back in, turn it on and then it will work.

You said you recently replaced the case and that you double checked the connections....triple check them paying close attention to the power switch and reset...also if possible pop out the power switch from the old case and see if that helps (or try and get the case replaced under warranty)...it sounds like it might be a faulty switch. I also wouldn't rule out the power supply, especially if added anything when you swapped the case (like extra fans or a drive).
