My computer isn't detecting the new GeForce FX 5200 AGP video card I inserted. >_<

Did I just insert it incorrectly or could there be another problem?

What was the old video card? If it is an on-board video-card, did yoiu disable it in the bios. It is is an actual card. Did you remove all of the drivers in safe mode before installing the new video card?

Have you tried setting the “Reset Configuration Data” (also known as “Force Update ESCD”) BIOS option in the BIOS “PNP/PCI configuration” to “Enabled”, save and exit the BIOS. This option is a single boot setting and after being used after the reboot the option is set to back “Disabled” again, thus locking the settings [as they are locked now, which may be the cause of your problem].
This prevents any newly connected hardware type under the control of the BIOS and connected to the PCI bus from being allocated resources and being enabled during startup.

It is an on-board video card (SiS 630/730). I disabled it in the Device Maganer, how would I disable it in the BIOS?

Depends on the bios, but there is usually an advanced tab that controls all on-board devices.

ok, heres what the menu says:

OnBoard FDC
OnBoard Serial Port
OnBoard IR Port
OnBoard Parallel Port
OnBoard Game Port
OnBoard MIDI Port
OnBoard PCI IDE
OnBoard AC'97 Sound
OnBoard AC'97 MODEM

Look for a BIOS option that sets which video card is the primary card.

Also some boards have a jumper to disable the onboard video.
