View Full Version : Windows Explorer not "View->Details"

Out of nowhere [after I had been in the Registry] suddenly the Windows Explorer right pane was blank in each drives and folder.
I changed to "View->Large Icons" and Small Icons & List and they worked.

I guessed that perhaps the Registry had been corrupted, so I used "scanreg /restore" to restore the configuration files backed up at the 1st startup that morning.

That fixed it, but it would be nice to have some idea of what caused it.

Yes, Win98.

I'll file away in my memory the idea of using "Ctrl +" to re-size the columns.

Something must have gone wrong to make it display like that.
"The Name, Size, Type, and Modified columns are moved to the left edge of the header bar in the right pane, causing them to not be visible"

It must have happened that day, because when I restored the first backup of the day the problem was undone.
