WITH THE MODEM ISSUE i found that when i reinstalled my os and cleaned up old modems still in system and cleaned up the files in programs and removeing fluff i didn't need , like net meeting and dial out etc, i just went through the commincations and cleaned up... this really made a difference

searching in this site really helped...very impressed with the knowledge in this room:D
